The mother of Logan Mwangi, a five-year-old child found dead in a river last July, has denied his murder.
Angharad Williamson, of Bridgend, denied the allegations that she murdered Logan at a hearing in Cardiff Crown Court.
She also pleaded not guilty to perverting the course of justice and, alongside Logan’s step-father John Cole, not guilty to causing the death of a child.
John, who is also from Bridgend, also denied murder but admitted perverting the course of justice at a previous hearing.
The trial, which will begin on 14th February, will last for about six weeks.
Logan’s body was discovered in the River Ogmore after a search was undertaken when the child was reported missing on 31st July 2021.
A 13-year-old boy, who is thought to be known to the victim, has also been charged with his murder and perverting the course of justice.
