The defence is due to begin their opening in the Lucy Letby trial, where so far we have heard the prosecutions opening outlining each murder/attempted murder allegation that Letby is facing.
The babies, labelled from Baby A-Q to protect their identities, suffered catastrophic collapses at the hands of the alleged serial killer. A note found at her home reads:
'I don’t deserve to live. I killed them on purpose because I’m not good enough”.
“'I am a horrible evil person' and in capital letters, 'I AM EVIL I DID THIS'.
A short adjournment is currently taking place.
