2.07 p.m: Four cities encircled
It is understood that four Ukrainian cities are currently encircled;
Mariupol, Kharkiv, Chernihiv and Sumy.
1.04 p.m: Ceasefire temporarily suspended
Peace talks between Ukraine and Russia ended with a promise of a temporary ceasefire, creating a green corridor for civilians to evacuate.
However, the ceasefire has not been observed by Russian troops, with heavy shelling reported in Mariupol. Civilians have been told to disperse and seek shelter immediately.
